Beantown

Visited the fab city of Boston this weekend! My best friend Karen lives there and we stayed at her sweet apartment in Back Bay. Our friend Christine drove up from NYC for the weekend as well and we had a blast touring the city, eating amazing food and getting a wicked sunburn. :) Here are some shots from the weekend....(the girls decided we were too disgusting looking in the sweat and sunburn to take pics of ourselves - duly noted.)

Earthquake in Peru

On Wednesday an 8.0 magnitude earthquake hit the Western coast of Peru causing 500+ deaths and destruction to Peru's infastructure. Dave and I were just there in May and witnessed first hand how amazing the Peruvian people are - they are incredibly hard working and are so generous, driven and kind. Our thoughts are with all the Peruvians dealing with this national tragedy and also are with those tourists who are now trying to get back home.

these were just too cute. Truly shows the unhealthy nature of our relationship to our cats. They're our babies. :) I think I should have turned down my ISO but oh well - I'm still learning.

bought a new lens!

I got the 50mm 1.8 lens today and while I'm still getting the hang of it - I think I'm really going to like it. Eventually!

this first one is of a dirty fork and is really blurry - but it kinda of cracked me up b/c of it's randomness.
